Greetings,
Although social media may have the advantage of being the first place a story is told it isn’t always the place where the most accurate story is told. I would like to take a moment to provide you with information regarding a message discovered today at Fordson High School.
On Wednesday, the administration at Fordson was made aware of graffiti placed on a wall in a boy’s restroom. The message warned students not to come to school and contained threatening comments.
The administration, working with our School Resource Officer, began to evaluate the credibility of the message. After further investigation and consulting with other Dearborn Police officers it was determined there was no evidence the message posed any credible threat of danger to students, staff, or the school.
In another era the message that was found would have been dismissed without a thought. However, we now live in a time where we must, to ensure the safety of all students and staff, take any type of threat seriously and be thorough in our investigation.
All staff members at Fordson pride themselves on providing our students, your children, with a safe learning environment. رسالة هامة إلى أولياء أمور ثانوية فوردسون

على الرغم من ما لوسائل التواصل الاجتماعي من مميزات كونها المنبر الأول الذي تروى من خلاله قصة ما، لكنها لا تكون دائماً المكان الذي تنتشر فيه القصة الأكثر دقة. لذا أريد أن أغتنم هذا الوقت لإبلاغكم عن رسالة اكتشفت اليوم في ثانوية فوردسون.
وجدت إدارة ثانوية فوردسون يوم الأربعاء، كتابات على جدار في مراحيض الذكور. تحتوي هذه الرسالة على تحذير يطلب من الطلاب عدم الحضور إلى المدرسة و على عبارات تهديدية .
بدأت إدارة الثانوية بالعمل مع شرطي الموارد المدرسية على تقييم مصداقية وجدية الرسالة. وبعد المزيد من التحقيق والتشاور مع سائر ضباط “شرطة ديربورن” تقرر أنه لا توجد أية أدلة على أن الرسالة جدية أو أنها تشكل خطراً على الطلاب، والموظفين، أو المدرسة.
من ناحية أخرى، كان من الممكن تجاهل الرسالة دون أية ضوضاء و لكننا نعيش الآن في زمن حيث يجب، لضمان سلامة جميع الطلاب والموظفين، التعامل مع أي نوع من التهديد بجدية والتحقيق فيه بعمق و عناية.
