Greetings,
Keeping an open line of communication is vitally important in maintaining and building strong partnerships. This is the reason I am sharing information with you today regarding a comment found in our school.
Today a staff member made us aware of graffiti found in a restroom. The quickly scribbled message made a general threatening comment. The message made no specific mention to any staff or student.
We must take all messages like this seriously and have started an investigation to find out who may have written this graffiti. We have also notified our School Resource Officer and Dearborn Police. Anyone found to have written this message will be held accountable for their actions.
Out of an abundance of caution, and recognizing that these types of messages can raise concerns, there will be an additional police presence at the school on Wednesday.
The entire staff at Fordson is ready and working each day to ensure the safety of your child when they are in school. We look forward to continuing to work with you to make every student feel welcome and safe while at Fordson.
