Battle of Hunger is here again! Bring any cans you have at home and/or donations will be collected by the tractor and in room A106!! It is time to feed the hungry; last year we fed 35,532 families in Southeastern Michigan lets feed 40,000 this year! Donations will be accepted all week up until Friday.
Attention seniors– go to the cafeteria today and tomorrow to order your cap and gown for graduation commencements. Jostens company will be there taking your order with your payment during all three lunches on both days
Varsity cheerleading tryout clinics will be held today and tomorrow from 2:30-4:30pm. Tryouts for the team will be held Thursday from 2:30-4:30pm. All girls that try out for the team MUST attend at least 1 tryout clinic this week. Please meet outside the small gym at 2:30pm each day. If you have any questions please see Ms. Hadous in room A201.
For all boys and girls who didn’t make the basketball team, if you are interested in participating in a winter sport and possibly earning a varsity letter, Mr. Proctor is looking for student-athletes for our new bowling team. We need both boys and girls bowlers. Please see Mr. Proctor in A-209 if you are interested.
Bowling tryouts for guys and girls will take place tomorrow at Thunderbowl Lanes from 3-4:30.
There is no ACCESS this Thursday, November 13th.
Seniors: This is the last week to turn in your headshot. Please do not forget, otherwise your ID picture will go into the yearbook. Turn in your CDs to Mrs. Kubitz in C203 or have your photographers submit your photo via dropbox. Either way please sign off by Nov. 17th with Mrs. Kubitz in C203. This is a firm deadline, no exceptions.
Buy your Thanksgiving candy grams for $2 during lunch, from a 2018 representative, or go to Ms. Saab and Ms. Ganfi in B202
Yearbooks are still on sale. They are now $75; don’t miss out on your memories! Get yours before the price goes up to $80.
This Saturday, November 18th, the community will come together to Support our own in need. We will be preparing food boxes and delivering them to the less fortunate in our community. If you would like to volunteer please see Mrs. Allie in A208.
Bake sale at the tractor before and after school on Monday November 20th
The annual Fordson Friendsgiving Dinner will take place Tuesday November 21st at 6:30 at Habib’s. It is open to all staff and students. Tickets are $30 but 100% of all profits will be donated to Zaman International Sips of Hope Well Campaign. Please see a board member of the pay it forwards club or Ms. Reda in room A128 to purchase tickets. Seats are limited and tickets are selling fast so buy yours ASAP. Last day to purchase tickets is Sunday, November 19th.
The next Pay it Forward meeting will be on Monday November 20 in Ms. Reda’s Room in A128 at 2:25. We will be doing stations of activities for thanksgiving and we need all the help we can get. Please attend!
Boys swimming will begin Monday, November 20th. You must have a physical.
Seniors must turn in senior shirt orders to Ms. Saab and Ms. Ganfi in B202 by Monday November 27th.

The American Legion, Dept of MI Wilson Scholarship & Dept of MI Brewer Scholarship available to residents attending high school and are a son, daughter, grandchild or great-grandchild of a war-time veteran planning to attend any Michigan accredited college or university. Based on student’s GPA of 2.5 or higher, financial need, parent’s or grandparent’s honorable active war-time military service, goals and intentions. Forms available in counselors office. NALS of Michigan Scholarship is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified applicant. Deadline is January 15, 2018. Application, rules and regulations available in the counseling office.
U of M Club of Greater Detroit Scholarship has 12 unique scholarship opportunities worth $3,500 each for incoming Freshman Fall 2018. Applications are accepted online. Visit www.umclubgreaterdetroit.org for online application and scholarship info. Deadline is Friday, January 19, 2018 @ 5:00 pm.
Michigan Rural Water Association is sponsoring a video contest. The contest is open to grades 9-12, individually or as a group of no more than 4, and a teacher representing a specific department must sponsor entries. Limit is 10 videos per school.
