English Department
English is the largest department at Fordson High School. Classes offered include Language Arts (9th), Literature and Composition (10th), American Literary Thought (11th) and a selection of courses in the 12th grade including Literature and Philosophy, Research and Analysis, World Literature, and English Literary Thought. Introduction to Theater and/or Speech, Creative Writing, and Yearbook are electives that can be taken at any grade level. Advanced Placement Language and Compostion is offered to 11th graders; AP English Literature is offered to 12th graders.
